Giving Sincere Appreciation

Posted on April 20, 2020April 21, 2020 by Jodi Alcock

“You have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of this world’s happiness now. How? By giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged. – Dale Carnegie

Working remotely is still new for many of us. We’re having fewer face to face interactions, and we don’t collaborate in the same ways. Additionally, working virtually can increase feelings of isolation. When we don’t see our co-workers and colleagues everyday it’s even more important to express appreciation for what they do.

Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime.” – Dale Carnegie

By reaching out to our co-workers during this time to express honest, sincere appreciation for their work, we will not only make them feel good about themselves, it will also make you feel better.

In what ways can we all practice not only feeling gratitude but expressing it to our friends and co-workers?
