Changes coming to Alabama business recruitment

The Montgomery Advisor has a story today about changes Governor-elect Robert Bentley wants to make to the way Alabama lures businesses into the state. He intends to appoint a new director to the Alabama Development Office as a first step. One of the plans is to create a public/private partnership between the governmental Alabama Development Office and the corporately-funded Economic Development Partnership of Alabama.

He also plans on consolidating some of the state departments focused on small business, claiming them redundant.
